Missions
Praise God for the work of our missionaries who work to share God's Word in their respective areas, both local and internationally
We are proud to be supporters in a number of local and international Missionaries and Mission initiatives! At NBBC we are currently supporting three missionaries in their work to share the gospel in their respective areas. Learn more about them below!
NBBC is also involved in a number of mission and welfare initiatives which are also outlined below.
Meet our Missionaries!

Dema, Carolyn, Grace, and Daniel Pachuau
Kirrily Drew
Sharon and Manny Tan
Chiang Rai, Thailand (Baptist Mission Australia)
Monash University Christian Union
(AFES Australia)
Mindanao, Cebu, and Dumaguete, Philippines (Grace Community Empowerment)
The Pachuau family are BMA missionaries who have been sharing God's Word in Thailand since 2010.
They first lived in Baan Luang in the North of Thailand where they taught English in schools, connected with neighbours and community groups which led to the formation of three house church groups.
In 2016, the family decided to move to Chiang Rai for Grace and Daniel's education at an international school while embracing the opportunity for a new mission field - an area where there were no followers of Jesus - where they continued to teach English at local schools, allowing for opportunities to share the Good News by building relationships with the teachers and families they meet with every week.
Their ministry consists of weekly Bible studies with small groups of locals, helping friends with their farm work, and relationship building within the community through the local market, community events, festivals, and funerals. These areas have presented great opportunities and conversations about Jesus and have noted in recent years that more people have come to believe in Him.
Together with the rest of the team members, they often return to the three original house groups in Baan Luang and Baan Sra to continue encouraging them and have training camp events.
Kirrily has been working at AFES Monash University Christian Union (Clayton) to share the gospel with the thousands of students at Monash University.
The goal of CU is that everyone on campus might know a disciple-making disciple of Jesus Christ through:
-
Sharing the gospel with non-Christians on campus in a variety of ways, including walk-up evangelism, Easter Mission, debates with the Philosophical Society, and reading the gospel of John one-on-one with non-Christians; and
-
Helping Christian students grow to mature faith, equipping them with everything they need for Christian life, ministry, and evangelism - sending them out to share the Good News of Jesus on campus and beyond.
Kirrily's ministry focuses on overseeing areas involving the mobilising of students, including organising training courses, seminars, and camps where Christian students are trained of the basics of Christian faith and how to read the Bible and teach it to others; training and encouraging student Faculty Leaders; and one-on-one encouragement of students, apprentices, and staff as God gives opportunities.
As of 2026, she is also overseeing a new project to acquire a commercial property close to the university to be used by CU as office space, meeting rooms, storage, and gathering space.
Sharon and Manny founded Grace Community Empowerment in 1997 with the intention to read the poorest of the poor in the Philippines with the hope to help them meet their daily needs and work towards having a sustainable livelihood.
GCE aims to deliver the Gospel of Jesus to the community through actions and practical support through the following ministries:
-
Urban Poor: Working with local leaders to provide preschool education, run weekly Bible studies, and host medical and dental clinics in impoverished areas (eg. dumpsites and cemetery communities).
-
Child Nourishment: GCE visits area hospitals that lack adequate resources and identify high-risk or severely malnourished children. Scholarships are secured, and with consent of the parents, the child is enrolled into a program with monthly home visits from GCE staff to help nurse the child back to health and strength to survive under regular family care.
-
Scholar Tentmakers: Investing in the education of young people from the Mindanao area to become leaders and pastors in their tribal villages. Selected students go to Cebu to further their studies in dentistry, pharmacy, accountancy, and other trades. After completing studies they commit to return to their home area to be Tentmakers and pastors.
-
Rural Community Development: Through Scholars Tentmakers' church plants, planting of coffee farms, and community pharmacy, GCE has opportunities to share the Gospel with tribal communities while providing practical help.
